Grammy Award-winning American R&B singer Miguel is returning to South Africa for three live shows in May 2027. The Miguel South Africa tour 2027 announcement dropped on Wednesday 20 August 2026. Furthermore, the shows take place in Cape Town, Sun City and Pretoria across three nights. As a result, South African fans have three chances to see one of R&B’s most distinctive performers live.
The tour opens at the Grand Arena at GrandWest in Cape Town on Friday 21 May 2027. Miguel then moves to the Sun City Superbowl on Saturday 22 May 2027. The run wraps up at SunBet Arena in Pretoria on Sunday 23 May 2027. Furthermore, Vertex Events brings Miguel to South Africa with tickets starting at R950. Tickets are available through Webtickets and Pick n Pay stores. As a result, fans across two provinces and Sun City have a show near them.
Miguel broke through globally with Sure Thing. The song has enjoyed multiple viral revivals on TikTok and social media in recent years. His albums include All I Want Is You, Kaleidoscope Dream, Wildheart, War and Leisure and Art Dealer Chic. He moves between R&B, soul, funk, rock and alternative sounds with ease. Furthermore, his live shows are known for their intimacy and vocal strength. As a result, the three-night run in May 2027 is likely to sell strongly across all three venues.
The Miguel announcement adds to a strong international concert season for South Africa. US R&B icon Brandy is already confirmed for a December 2026 concert through Remoakantse Holdings. Furthermore, South Africa’s live entertainment market has bounced back strongly in recent years. As a result, South Africa keeps growing as a top destination for international touring artists on the African continent.
