Bontle Modiselle has won Season 3 of The Masked Singer South Africa. The dancer, choreographer and television presenter took off the Spotty mask during the finale on SABC 2 on Saturday night.

After the reveal, Bontle said the experience was a lot of fun and that she enjoyed every moment of the finale.

Final four on The Masked Singer South Africa

Bontle beat a strong final lineup to take the crown. Rapper Robot Boii finished second as Mosquito. Meanwhile, award winning jazz and gospel singer Judith Sephuma came third as Gogga. Media personality Khanyi Mbau completed the top four as Chopsticks.

Interestingly, Bontle said she worked out who was behind Mosquito during his Eminem tribute. According to her, Robot Boii has a rare talent for sounding just like the original artists he performs.

In addition, panellist Somizi Mhlongo won the Golden Ear award. He took the prize for making the most correct first guesses across the season.

Comedian Mpho Popps hosted the season, which started on 4 July. Somizi sat on the panel alongside J Something, Sithelo Shozi and Skhumba Hlophe, who all returned from previous seasons.

Throughout the season, the show unmasked a long list of well known faces. These included comedian Trevor Gumbi as Ponte Tower, actress Linda Mtoba as Lady Monster and comedian Tumi Morake as Koeksister. Rapper Jack Parow appeared as Spinach, while media personality Lasizwe sang as Sushi.

Bontle follows actor Warren Masemola, who won Season 2 as Giraffe.

If you missed the finale, SABC 1 will repeat it on Thursday at 21:00. SABC 2 will also air it again on Friday at 13:30.
